An experienced Sales Engineer who knows how to develop technical solutions on the Salesforce.com platform. A Salesforce 'Geek' who is ready to join a growing company that has been a Washington, D.C. area leader in cloud computing for 8 years. Top applicants will show they can thrive while working independently, have a passion for Salesforce.com, and are Force.com Certified.

Certifications

  • Certified Force.com Developer (preferred)
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Salesforce Certified Sales/Service Consultant
  • Salesforce Certified Advanced Administrator (nice to have)

Hard Skills

  • Required experience: Sales Engineering: 2 years
  • Required education: Bachelor's in technical field or equivalent
  • Engineering/ Technical Background (5+): Experience in a technical role developing IT solutions
  • 5+ years of IT system design and delivery experience
  • 2+ years developing solutions on Salesforce.com in a fast-paced consulting or software product environment
  • Experience with Apex Programming, Triggers, VisualForce and Sites page development
  • Knowledge of SOQL and SOSL
  • Experience Integrating Salesforce with 3rd party apps using SOAP and REST
  • Salesforce.com Communities, Partner/Customer Portal implementation / Knowledge Base
  • Social Media integration (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin)
  • Data modeling using Force.com Platform standard and custom objects
  • Experience building AppExchange Apps to pass Salesforce.com security review
  • Experience with Salesforce.com security model and sharing rules

Soft Skills

  • Sales Engineering experience, including project cost estimating, writing technical solution architectural overview descriptions, presenting solutions directly to prospects
  • Client facing skills
  • Requirements analysis / business process modeling
  • Project management
